Bio for Jim Searle, WPA:
Jim Searle is currently Chief Operating Officer for the Western Provident Association. Jim joined WPA in October 2016 and has been leading the implementation of the companies’ digititalisation, automation and cyber security strategy. Previously Jim was a partner at Control Risks and lived in Baghdad for 6 years. Jim started his career as a Second Lieutenant with the 1st Battalion the Green Howards, before undertaking a number of roles with the Intelligence Corps. After 4 operational tours Jim left the Army and moved into defence consultancy with a particular focus of Counter IED and ISTAR project management. Jim is a graduate of Aberystwyth University where he studied International Politics and International History and the London School of Economics where he was awarded a Master’s Degree in Russian Politics and History. Outside of work Jim is a keen skier and mountain biker, and a regular at Kingsholm supporting Gloucester Rugby Football Club.
